I think the IDD should establish a centre for studying “Disasters and development”. In today’s world where climate change made disasters happen everywhere and in large scales, development is under a new threat.
Why do disaster happens? What are kinds of disasters? What should be done to reduce disaster effect? How can development resumed after disaster attack? What can regional arrangements do to help in containing the consequences? Is there anit-disaster development?…etc A lot of questions and areas of research need to be addressed.
